This afternoon while my daughter took her nap I bound off the i-cord ties and wove in all the ends and it's done! This is my Cranberry. The pattern is Saffron by Elena Nodel and it's so cute. I just had to get her to try it on as soon as she woke up from her nap. Sorry about the sleepy and slightly grumpy looks in the pictures. I think the gems (they are kind of like M&Ms) really helped!
The pattern was fairly easy. I've not made too many knitted garment before but even so I think it turned out great. When I started I was iffy on the amount of yarn I was going to need for it. Here in India the yarn is not labeled very well so you never really know how many yards/Meters are in a ball. I had 2 balls of blue I was thinking to use at that time but was not sure it would be enough so I bought this red yarn. Turns out I finished the last yard of the 2nd ball on the i-cord ties so I could have used the blue after-all. Oh well! I think the other 2 balls of red are going to get returned unless think of some perfect project soon..
Did you finish a project this week?
